I created this site for two reasons; it started as an assignment for class but I realized it would be a good way for me to keep friends and family updated with my adventures.
Things included on the site are:
1. Trip Logs- While participating in the Adventure Guide Diploma at Thompson Rivers University I have had the opportunity to take many awesome trips in order to learn new guiding skills and see new places along the way. After taking these trips with TRU I have been inspired to have my own adventures outside of school time as well. I have kept a detailed record of every trip and in this section of my blog you can browse some of the information from these records. They also include a few choice photos of each trip. You can check out what I’m learning at school, see what I do with my time, live vicariously through me, or even see if any of the trips are something you may be interested in doing.
- Accessible via the drop down Categories menu to the right of the screen.
2. General Thoughts- this is where I speak my mind on all sorts of things. some examples of what you might find in this category are; gear reviews, likes/dislikes, daily reflections, quotes etc.
- Accessible via the drop down Categories menu to the right of the screen.
3. Did You Know page- Everyone who knows me knows that I really enjoy sharing random facts. When I was working as a canoe guide for Outdoor Adventures Whistler giving 3 hour voyageur tours down the Lillooet River was when I really started to grow my collection of random facts. After several weeks of giving the same tour day after day twice a day resulted in me becoming bored of saying the same things over and over again so I began each tour with a random fact of the day and asked my guests to finish the tour with their own random facts which I would use to start the next tour. When I was living at 6412 in Whistler all my roommates nicknamed my random facts as “did you knows” because that’s how I started most of them. Even my classmates noticed an began asking me for a “fact of the day” on rock 1. It probably wont end up being a daily fact but I will try to keep them coming. Also I would like to encourage you to comment with both your own random facts and your reactions to the ones supplied by me.
- Accessible via the drop down Categories menu to the right of the screen.

5. Resume- an account of my accomplishments and certifications from both the workplace and TRU.

So far most of my trips have either been family vacations, trips to watch my brother compete on skis or trips for school.
